Pete Kozak was raised in Nebraska and moved to Oregon in 1984.
He began studying Tae Kwon Do at Shin's Martial Arts Institute in 1988
and received his 3rd Dan black belt in October 2006. In addition
to his martial arts background, Mr. Kozak holds a Bachelor or Arts
degree in English from the University of Nebraska, and Associate of
Science degree in Printing Technology and an Associate of Arts degree in
Mass Communication (Journalism and Advertising) from Linn Benton
Community College, and a Masters of Science in Education from Western
Oregon University. He currently teaches special education at West
Albany High School. Mr. Kozak has also been a professional
musician since 1977 and teaches guitar and banjo both privately and at
Oregon State University. He lives in Corvallis with his wife
Dianne and daughter Andrea.
